Playful psychedelic songs made with warm sounding vintage gear. Lie under a tree and daydream to this if you like that kind of thing.
Beautiful laid back songs with lush string arrangements from SΓ£o Paulo, Brazil.
A compilation of UK soul from (I think) the 80s to present day artists. Good barbeque tunes I reckon!
Highlife is the happy sound of sunshine to me!
A psychedelic journey through a miscroscopic world inspired by fungus.
Cosy music :)
This super playful jazz funk funtime fusion album by Sam Greenfield puts both a smile and a funk gurn on my face simultaneously, which is not a pretty sight I can tell you.
This E.P. of chirpy organ music has been giving me the grins recently. Start from track 2 for maximum chirp!
This wonky, silly, electronic album by Graham Kartna has been filling my glad bags with happy pixels on repeat recently!
This pop/punk/noise album by Norwegian band Pom Poko is like candied habaΓ±eros, sweet but spiky! Gets me excited!
This compilation album of Venezualan music from 1966 - 1978 is bringing some sunshine to my life at the moment. My lil boy loves dancing to it too! There’s a second compilation out soon if this floats your boat.
This house/disco album by Crackazat has been the soundtrack to my new favourite activity: dancing my baby boy around the kitchen in a “keep fit” style! He freakin’ loves it and I do too, so that’s pretty perfect really.
I’ve been listening to this lo-fi soul/jazz/funk/pop album by Mocky a lot! The first half’s a lil wet for me at times, but the second half has some tasty grooves.
An EP of rave inspired tracks by Machine Girl. Nutty! Fans of Lone might enjoy this.
Nuala is one of my best buds and I’ve watched her working her buns to the bone to get this album into the world. And it’s a CORKER! Album of the day on BBC Radio 6 Music today and everything! If you like rock-n-roll, pop-opera, post-punk, epic ballad rawness smashed together in a spectacular DIY fireworks display, YOU GOT IT RIGHT HERE BABY.
It’s on iTunes and Spotify and all that too. Give it a listen and buy it if you like it - it’s not easy being an independent musician right now so any support really helps!
An album of electronic music by Julien Mier that’s like an epic audio adventure through a microscopic world!
Traditional Thai music with a beefy 70s disco & funk makeover! Had me stamping and clapping in the shower!
My buddy Nuala’s new music video! The single’s a banger! I edited the video :) This song has been getting some sweet airplay on 6 Music and Radio X, Nulz is smashing it and I’m very proud of her.
We played this ambient banjo (!?) album on loop while my partner Katie was giving birth. It really helped her to stay calm in all the intensity!
This album of lofi, homemade cosy music has been on heavy rotation as we enjoy the peaceful cocoon stage of bringing a new life into the world. It’s full of warm acoustic instruments, but some delightfully goofy synth sounds in the mix too!
